Safeguard Engineering expands team with Phil Harris

Safeguard Engineering is thrilled to mark a new phase of growth with the addition of Phil Harris to the company.

Phil joins our Bristol team as Commercial Director and brings with him over 20 years of engineering consultancy experience supporting clients in Defence, Transport, Energy and other market sectors. Phil is joining the management team to help support the next phase of Safeguard Engineering’s growth, following the formation of the Employee Ownership Trust.

Phil is a valued addition to the team and has a wealth of senior leadership experience, having previously set up a business operation in Australia and led market diversification. He’s also managed technical teams across a variety of skill areas such as thermal-hydraulic analysis, safety management and systems engineering.

On joining the company Phil commented: “I’m really excited to be joining Safeguard Engineering – I’ve been really impressed with the capability and experience in the team, and I’m looking forward to supporting their continued growth and diversification as an employee-owned business”.

Co-founding Director Steve Vickery added: “We’re looking forward to this next stage of the company’s development with Phil’s support and guidance. A very warm welcome to the team Phil!”

Outside of work, Phil plays the trombone with various groups around the Bristol area and tries to make time for an occasional run!
